Napa watercolorist, Gail Chandler chronicles the romance of the Wine Country through unique portraits – of places, not people.
“My work captures the spirit of special places in the Wine Country. That spirit lives in the physical charm of the places I paint, and in the hearts of the people who love them. My paintings are as much about memories and dreams as architecture and landscapes.”
Examples include wedding and vacation venues, wineries and restaurants, hotels and B&B’s, private homes and wine cellars.
Her work has expanded to include commission paintings on private residences, automobiles, boats, airplanes, landscapes, pets and portraits and fantasy portraits.
Gail is represented by Gallery 1870 in Yountville, California. She was a featured artist in the 2007 and 2008 Mustard Festival Fine Art Competition and A Taste of Yountville 2007 and 2008. These events bring thousands of visitors from around the world each year.
Gail is a self-taught artist who chronicles the architecture of the Napa Valley and other charming locations. She has completed pieces for numerous businesses in the Napa Valley, Worldwide Corporations and private collectors worldwide.
